Check out the latest video of Gogo’s 2Ku, enabled by ThinKom’s ThinAir Ku3030, being installed on a GOL 737-800 in Brazil!

Get Connected mentions that “The clip shows the company installing the cabin wireless access points, the Gogo 2Ku antenna on top of the plane, and its avionics equipment in the bay beneath. Once completed, this plane will have access to the internet through the 2Ku inflight connectivity system, as well as live IP-based television and the Gogo Vision entertainment system. Gogo announced it was to bring its 2Ku in-flight connectivity services to GOL, the largest low-cost airline in Latin America, in June 2015. This means GOL will be the first Brazilian airline to offer broadband internet access to its passengers.

Michael Small, Gogo’s president and CEO, said at the time: “This is a major win for Gogo and represents a number of firsts for Gogo. “GOL is Gogo’s first airline partner in South America and the first airline to commit to Gogo’s television product. It also represents the largest aircraft commitment to our 2Ku technology outside of North America.”
